EXPERIENCES

Aldinga Beach is a hive of activity, ideal for beach fanatics and lovers of the outdoors.  Immediately in front of your accommodation is the only beach that cannot be driven on, making it a great, safe location for swimming, trying your skills with the supplied kayaks or stand-up paddle boards, or general, beachside reclining.

A short, 500m walk south of the house you will find the newly renovated, Silver Sands Surf Lifesaving Club – (very) kid-friendly, perfect for a casual meal or afternoon Aperol. You can also take-away right onto the sand. A little further abroad - but a beautiful walk - is Pearl Restaurant. It has both restaurant and kiosk menus, offering epic coffee and sustainably caught, local seafood, showcasing the very best of the Fleurieu Peninsula produce.

SUN & SURF

For lovers of world-class food and wine, the property is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the stunning, McLaren Vale. Venues are within short driving distance, and multiple taxi services are available for one-off or full-day adventures.

EXPERIENCES

For the fisher(person), King George Whiting, squid and crabs are regularly caught from either the close by jetties or launch your boat just over 1km away at the well-serviced boat ramp. You can also pick up bait, basic fishing gear and often some local insight from the general store just next to the ramp.

FISHING

Alternatively, if the idea of smacking a few balls around the fairway excites you, just 2km from our front door you will find CopperClub, a championship Greg Norman-designed golf course ideal for 9 or 18 holes. The course is also home The Deck Bar & golf shop (19th hole).

COPPER CLUB

RICH HISTORY

The historic town of Moonta (just five minutes from the house) has been dubbed ‘Little Cornwall’ for its quaint beauty. It’s also a mining town rich in history. Check out the Moonta Mines Museum (08 8825 1891) and enjoy a guided tour of the perfectly preserved Miners Cottage and Heritage Garden. In Wallaroo, the Heritage & Nautical Museum is worth a visit.
